The Mobility Resource is a marketplace for wheelchair vans and adaptive equipment created by a group of independent mobility van dealers in the US. They help people choose and buy the best Mobility Van for their wheelchair needs. They also provide various financing and veteran assistance programs.
They have a blog on various topics such as Advocacy, Health, Parenting, etc. I esp love their article on living with confidence despite your disability. They also help you sell your van and provide rental services. Do check them out, esp if you’re from the USA.
Emma is amazing, I love reading her blog! She has LGMD which is Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy, but despite this barrier, nothing stops her from travelling. She gives wonderful tips and tricks on travelling, so if you are into travelling (ofc you are), be sure to check her blog, she also writes about Disability Movies, Wheelchair Fashion, Accessible Hotels, Glamping, etc. As I’m a big fan of self-love, I love her article on feeling confident in a wheelchair.
Life of a blind girl is created by Holly, she has a condition called Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) which makes her only see light and dark. Despite this condition, she works as a Social Media Officer, writes articles for publications, and writes her blog. She has been nominated and has won awards, including the Social Media Influencer of the Year award at the RNIB See Differently Awards 2019. She is also a co-founder of Access For Us, to raise awareness on disability accessibility in concerts in the UK.
She writes on vision impairment, assistive technology, and a few lifestyle posts including concert posts, travel posts, etc. This article she wrote on being disabled doesn’t make me brave is my favourite one. She explained it so beautifully!
Rob Gorski, is a single Dad sharing his honest and transparent struggles raising three autistic kids. This is the best blog on autism for parents, Rob has podcasts that you can listen to and has awesome resources for autism. You can see how much he loves and appreciate his kids, here’s a little insight into how he never gives up.
